DjangoReactPostgreSQLRegistering intellectual property was traditionally expensive, slow, and buried in paperwork. Creators — developers, designers, musicians, writers — had no quick way to prove authorship or protect their work from piracy. The client needed a platform where anyone could register a copyright in minutes, not weeks, and receive a legally valid certificate at an affordable price.
We built a web application with a streamlined 3-step registration flow: upload your work, fill in the details, and receive a certificate. The platform stores files with cryptographic hashes for tamper-proof verification, generates official certificates of deposit, and provides a searchable registry where anyone can look up authorship records.
A personal dashboard gives rights holders full control over their registrations, documents, and protection status. For users who want continuous protection, the platform offers Google Drive integration — connect a folder, and any new files added to it are automatically registered and protected without manual action.
The dashboard greets new users with a clear empty state and a 3-step onboarding guide: upload data, we ensure protection, you stay compliant. Once records are added, the registry view lists all registered works with category, type, author, status, and creation date — filterable by category, type, and time period.
Each record has a detailed page showing general information — record ID, category, type, registration method, creation and expiration dates, and a cryptographic hash of the deposited files.
Attached IP files are listed with descriptions, and protection documents are available for download. The platform generates an official Certificate of Deposit confirming authorship, valid for 70 years.
For creators who want hands-free protection, the platform integrates with Google Drive. Users connect a specific folder from their Drive, and any new files added to it are automatically picked up by the system, registered, and protected — no manual uploads needed. This is especially useful for teams and studios that continuously produce new content.
